Q The book addresses the issues Domicans encounter when deported back to the DR. With your classmates discuss some of the challenges Salvadorians face when deported back.
Salvadorians face many challenges when deported back, similar to the ones they face when they first arrive to the United States. There's a scarce of jobs, and it becomes very difficult for them to find jobs since some jobs require experience and recommendations/references, which it's impossible for them to list those requirements. We saw the example of Jose, he was denied jobs left and right and employers were asking him for references and experiences, which made him feel like a failure.
